Jordan Brown and Danny Parry combined for the shutout, getting just enough offense from Justin Dutka and Michael Haynes to snare the monumental victory. … Parkview continued its dominating run over the weekend, maintaining perfection in region play with an 11-1 win over Shiloh. Matt Olson went five innings to earn the victory. Ryan Blanton, Jeff Ronporin and Rob Youngblood were just three of the offensive stars for the Panthers. … Columbus finished off a fine week with a 3-0 win over Brookwood. Earlier in the week, Columbus edged Parkview 7-6. … Lowndes dominated Valdosta 8-2 in the first Winnersville showdown of the season. Logan Hutchinson was spectacular for Lowndes, taking a no-hitter into the sixth inning. Ty Harwell and Seth Evans went deep for Lowndes. … Juan Gonzales and Tyler Budd each scored a pair of goals for Central Gwinnett as the Black Knights thumped Archer 5-2 on the soccer field. … Daryl Sack made 10 saves to help Peachtree Ridge squeak by Norcross 1-0 on the Blue Devils soccer field. … Esgardo Arroyo tallied five goals in Buford’s 10-0 victory over Maynard Jackson. … Seven different Collins Hill lacrosse players found the netting in an 11-3 decision over Norcross. Holin Axley had three goals for the Eagles. … Holland Frost was named MVP of the AJO4LAX championship finals as Pope defeated Lovett 7-4 over the weekend. Frost notched a pair of goals and dished out two assists while Nick Lilly added two goals in the victory. Cory Palmer had a pair for Lovett. … Finally Colquitt County defeated Bleckley County 3-2 in the championship of the Viking Invitational boys tennis tournament, held in Valdosta over the weekend.

Rachel Garcia had perhaps the most successful weekend of any girl across the state as the GAC standout netted four goals in a 9-0 win over Carrollton. Taylor Wagnon added a pair of goals for the Spartans in the victory. … Not to be outdone, Kat Slayton also pocketed four goals for Providence Christian in a 7-3 win over Pinecrest Academy. … Melissa Sullivan notched a hat trick in Buford’s 10-0 win over Maynard Jackson. … Parkview raced past South Gwinnett 4-1 as Elizabeth Quintanilla found the back of the net twice in the win. … Dacula defeated South Georgia power Colquitt County 4-0 on the power of two Makayla Clack goals. Lauren Vick and Sheaenne Powell each tallied a score for the Falcons. The Packers would also fall 3-2 to Mountain View. Colquitt County was down 3-0 at intermission but clawed back to fall by one with a Lauren Kelshaw goal, followed by Meagan May’s 12th goal of the year. … The Bleckley girls claimed the sixth annual Viking Invitational tennis title by besting host Lowndes 3-1 in the finals. … Fresh off of a victory in the Hall County Championships, the Gainesville girls golf team defeated West Hall 173-189 in an 18-hole stroke-play match. Madeline Harr shot an 86 to pace the Elephants while Meg Callahan posted an 87. … The news wasn’t all good for Gainesville as the Flowery Branch tennis team took down the Elephants 5-0. Anna Kate Shaw, Elizabeth Mallory and Nicole Morris all earned singles victories while the Falcons also took the two doubles points. … Lastly, Bethany Johnson and Brittany Martin each scored a goal to help Johnson-Gainesville hold off Lanier 2-1. The Knights are undefeated in subregion 8B-AAA play.
