The football team welcomed in Meadowcreek and attempted to contain the Mustangs’ record-setting quarterback Sean Frezell. Brandon Jacobs and TaRon Squires combined for seven touchdowns and 330 yards in the 64-20 win. Frezell was intercepted four times by the Panthers in the win, as Parkview tallied 38 second-quarter points to cruise to the win. … The volleyball team tasted some sweet success at Grayson last week with a pair of wins. First, the team dispatched regional foe Grayson 25-14, 24-26, 25-12 before crushing Meadowcreek 25-14, 25-13. Amanda France had 10 aces between the two wins and Lauren Coleman registered 14 kills. Jordan Flanagan chipped in with 28 digs. … The softball team tuned up for the Brookwood Invitational with a 3-0 win over non-region opponent Newton. In the opening game of the Invitational, Desirae Thomas tossed a perfect game while striking out 10 batters in the Panthers 10-0 win over Wesleyan. Sara Coker had two hits and two RBIs in the win. Despite a 12-5 record, the team was not ranked in the recent GACA Coaches Poll.
