Rams defeat South Gwinnett, 49-14

The football team traveled to South Gwinnett for a matchup of two 2007 playoff teams. The Rams were led by Ean Pemberton and Tyler Horne as the former recorded 93 yards rushing on 16 carries and a touchdown while the latter went 7-for-12 passing for 206 yards and two touchdowns. Offensive lineman Joseph Champaign recovered a fumble for a touchdown. The defense forced several late turnovers that the offense converted into points to ice the 49-14 victory. … The volleyball team continued to struggle last week as the team hosted Parkview and Meadowcreek. In the opener, Parkview made it six-straight losses defeating the Lady Rams 25-14, 24-26, 25-12. In the second match, the Lady Rams responded with a sweep of Meadowcreek. … The softball team could not get things started against Dacula and dropped to 2-2 in the region after a 9-0 shutout loss. Dacula’s Allie Miles struck out 10 Lady Rams in the effort. The team looked to rebound against Kennesaw Mountain, but the Lady Mustangs were too much. The Lady Rams fell 7-3.
