It was the final night of regular season football for many programs in metro Atlanta as region titles and playoff spots were fought over. St. Pius clinched a region title against cross-town rival Woodward Academy while Walton clinched an undefeated regular season.

Class AAAAA
Alpharetta 42, North Forsyth 7: Joshua Dobbs threw for 334 yards and six touchdown passes to five different receivers to lead the visiting Raiders. Alpharetta’s defense held the Vikings scoreless until a late touchdown by the home team ended the shutout bid.
Centennial 36, Northview 35: Centennial’s Cyril Teal scored on a 6-yard run in the fourth quarter for the go-ahead touchdown. Quarterback Jimmy Meyer scored once on the ground and threw three touchdown passes for the host Knights.
Collins Hill 51, Meadowcreek 0: The host Eagles ran all over Meadowcreek. Jordan Parker found the end zone three times and surpassed 1,000 yards rushing on the year. Brett Sheehan added another two rushing scores. Tyler Henderson and R.J. Burnette added a rushing touchdown.
Dacula 31, Parkview 21: The Falcons solidified a spot in the playoffs with the victory over the visiting Panthers. Rocky Capobianco rushed 16 times for 122 yards and a touchdown while Devin McEwan had a 52-yard touchdown catch, a 30-yard blocked punt return for a score and a 28-yard field goal.
Grayson 22, Central Gwinnett 0: The undefeated region champion Rams clinched the No. 1 seed in Region 8 with the win over the Black Knights. Devin Gillespie scored on a 30-yard run, with Jack Banda and Jordan Germany catching touchdown passes for the visitors.
Hillgrove 33, Campbell 6: Quarterback Elijah Ironside ran for two touchdowns and threw touchdown passes to Evan Ingram and Osy Egbuziem for the host Hawks. Running back Kenyon Drake carried the ball seven times for 103 yards for Hillgrove.
Marietta 27, Cherokee 6: Jordan Mathis threw three touchdown passes—one each to Kenny Norwood, Tyree Harris and Marcus Bennett—as Marietta rolled over Cherokee. The host Blue Devils opened the scoring with a four-yard touchdown run by Ro’Mello Porter.
McEachern 63, Kennesaw Mountain 13: Trent Thompson threw four touchdown passes, and backup quarterback Ty Clemons threw and rushed for two more. Aba Etta-Tawo and Tray Fletcher both nabbed two scoring passes for the hosts. Jelani Wells also ran for a 37-yard touchdown.
Mill Creek 48 Duluth 7: JaCorey Lewis ran for 257 yards on 24 carries, and five touchdowns, becoming the school’s first ever 1,000-yard rusher in the process. Kyle Dye plunged in from three yards out for the hosts.
Milton 14, Roswell 13: The visiting Eagles scored 14 unanswered points in the second half. Colin McElroy sparked the comeback with a 45-yard scoring run in the third, and then found Ryan Jenkins for an 8-yard strike with 18 seconds remaining.
Norcross 49, Mt. View 33: The Bears drew first blood when Derrick Petty returned a fumble 50 yards for a touchdown, but visiting Norcross took advantage of three Mountain View interceptions (returning two for scores). Chris Bartlett threw a touchdown pass and added three rushing scores for the Blue Devils.
North Cobb 21, Harrison 17: The visiting Warriors returned an interception for a touchdown just before halftime to lead 14-0. The visitors took an early lead with a 68-yard touchdown run.
Walton 30, Woodstock 0: Parker McLeod threw touchdown passes to Myles Howard and Cody Richardson as Walton rolled to a 27-0 halftime lead. The visiting Raiders also got a 22-yard touchdown run from Kelly Brooks and a 74-yard scoring jaunt by Tyren Jones.
Class AAAA
Clarke Central 38, Flowery Branch 35: Quenshawn Watson ran for a 60-yard go-ahead touchdown run with 2:15 to go to defeat visiting Flowery Branch. Watson finished with 289 yards rushing with four scores. Clarke Central, Flowery Branch and Heritage-Conyers all finish the regular season with 9-1 records in Region 8-AAAA, and the top three playoff seeds will be determined by coin toss on Saturday.
East Paulding 42, Villa Rica 3: Kamani Thomas scored three times for East Paulding on runs of one, 17 and 64 yards to defeat visiting Villa Rica. Terrell Hannah scored on runs of 48 and 22 yards, and quarterback Trey Lane tossed a touchdown pass to Andrej Suttles.
Johns Creek 44, Forsyth Central 14: Johns Creek cruised to victory on Senior Night thanks to a strong rushing attack. The Gladiators rushed for 281 total yards, while Parker Asbell returned a punt for a score and Will Summers scored on an interception return.
Jonesboro 40, Banneker 19: Quarterback Cedric Nettles paced the host Cardinals with a 36-yard touchdown run and a 65-yard scoring pass to Cameron Sutton. Rodney Singleton and Demonte Taschal each added a rushing touchdown, and Mante Shannon returned an interception for a score.
Kell 55, South Paulding 21: Quarterback Clay Dodson threw four touchdowns as the host Longhorns built a 49-0 halftime lead. Brandon Langley caught a 33-yard touchdown pass and added an interception on defense. A.J. Redwine, Hunter Marshall and Chris Gaines also scored for Kell.
Lambert 31, Cass 0: Visiting Lambert got a 16-yard passing touchdown and a 20-yard running score from quarterback David Broadus in its shutout of Cass. Jake Vazquez and Daniel Myers also had rushing scores for the Longhorns, and Brendan Everett added a 28-yard field goal.
Marist 57, Redan 29: War Eagles quarterback Myles Willis ran for four scores, including three in the first quarter. After one period, visiting Marist led 33-7. Gray King kicked off the scoring for Marist with a 65-yard run on the game’s second play.
North Clayton 14, Creekside 8: Marquis Sconiers rushed for both touchdowns for the visiting Eagles, including the game-winning score in the fourth quarter. North Clayton secured the No. 4 playoff seed out of Region 4-AAAA with the victory.
Pope 49, Alexander 28: The visiting Cougars put up a fight behind quarterback Dempsey Abernathy, who went 32-for-46 for 333 yards and three touchdowns. Pope quarterback Holland Frost threw for 103 yards and ran for 121. Donald Allen caught three touchdowns for Alexander.
Sprayberry 37, Chapel Hill 34: The first-ever meeting between the host Yellow Jackets and Panthers was a thriller. Trailing by three points, quarterback Jacob Chessler scored on a 1-yard sneak to clinch the victory in double overtime for Sprayberry.
Starr’s Mill 27, Dutchtown 26: Dylan Autera hooked up with Jason Lindner for two scores, including the game-winner from six yards out with 20 seconds remaining. Autera passed for 125 yards, and also ran for 71 to pace the hosts.
Tucker 57, Lakeside-DeKalb 7: The visiting Tigers took control early with a 66-yard touchdown run by Dallas Rivers and a 48-yard touchdown run by Jordan Landry. Tucker dominated on the ground with 302 total rushing yards. Juwan Williams added a 31-yard touchdown catch.
Class AAA
Cedar Grove 20, Washington 15: Marlon Coley ran two yards for a score and added a two-point conversion run in the fourth quarter to give the Saints the come-from-behind win. Xavier Cooper had a 72-yard touchdown reception and a 60-yard interception return for touchdown for Cedar Grove.
Drew 48, Locust Grove 28: The visiting Titans scored touchdowns just about every way possible. Jadarius West ran for three touchdowns and returned a kickoff 94 yards to find paydirt. Terrell Jordan returned a fumble for a touchdown.
Henry County 34, Eastside 24: The visiting Eagles held a slim 7-6 halftime lead, but took the lead in the second half and held on. Chris Moody rushed for 268 yards on 29 carries, added 150 yards passing and two total touchdowns for the Warhawks.
Jackson 38, Eagle’s Landing 0: Sophomore D-Eric Bell rushed for 150 yards and two touchdowns for the visiting Red Devils. Bell reached the 1,300-yard mark on the season.
Sandy Creek 22, Stockbridge 14: Eric Swinney netted two scoring runs in the first half, and Delvin Weems scored from five yards out for the hosts. Jamel Gilliam picked off two passes, the second stifling a late drive from the Tigers.
St. Pius 21, Woodward Academy 6
In the Region 5-AAA championship game, St. Pius scored the final two touchdowns to pull away from Woodward Academy 21-6.
Running back Trey White gave the Golden Lions the lead for good with a 49-yard touchdown run in the first quarter, then added an 82-yard score in the third quarter. White totaled 177 yards rushing. Playmaker Geno Smith sprinted to a 42-yard touchdown run in the second quarter for St. Pius.
The Golden Lions totaled 328 rushing yards.
Class AA
Buford 49, Blessed Trinity 10: It was a night of big plays as the visiting Wolves scored on an 85-yard Rick Legrant run and a 95-yard kick-off return by C.J. Moore. Legrant rushed for 99 yards. Moore’s return started the second half and put the game away for Buford.
Lovett 35, Greater Atlanta Christian 28: The host Lions scored three fourth-quarter touchdowns to overcome a 21-13 deficit. Grant Haley scored three touchdowns for Lovett, including an 84-yard kickoff return and rushing scores of 72 and 47 yards.
Westminster 35, Decatur 7: Danny Catan threw a touchdown pass to Blake Ashley and rushed for another as Westminster coasted to 35-0 lead early in the fourth quarter. The host Wildcats also got touchdown runs from Nigel Walker and David Mitchell.
Class A
Bowdon 15, Mt. Paran 7: Senior quarterback Tyler Wright capped a 76-yard drive with a 34-yard touchdown pass to J.B. Stephens to give the visiting Red Devils a 6-0 halftime lead. Alonzo Wyatt scored on a 24-yard run to cap the win for Bowdon.
Eagle’s Landing Christian 21, Holy Innocents’ 17: Running back John Tatum plunged into the end zone from one-yard out with the game-winning score. The Golden Bears fell despite 142 rushing yards and two scores (one and 86) from John Galloway.
Fellowship Christian 40, Southwest Atlanta Christian 6: The host Paladins intercepted two passes and recovered four fumbles. The punishing ground attack was led by Steven Lantz, who scored twice and recorded 80 rushing yards. Jacob Miller had 10 tackles, two sacks and a tackle for loss.
Landmark Christian 16, Wesleyan 7: Jeremiah Kirkland’s 84 yards led a dominant rushing attack for the visitors. Chase McFarland and Donald Payne scored rushing touchdowns. Wesleyan’s lone score came on a 54-yard strike from Will Anderson to Erik Gossett.
Our Lady of Mercy 56, King’s Ridge 24: Rashard Fant returned an interception for a touchdown and rushed for another score to lead Our Lady of Mercy. The visiting Bobcats also found the endzone when quarterback Lance McGuffey connected with his brother Blake on a touchdown strike.
Whitefield Academy 30, Mt. Pisgah Christian 9: Richard Sherrell rushed for 146 yards and two touchdowns to lead the visiting Wolfpack. Whitefield Academy never trailed and held the Patriots scoreless in the second half while only allowing 185 yards of total offense.
