No. 9 Raiders improve to 3-0 with win over Campbell

The football team got off to a great start to the season with thrilling wins over Brookwood and Kell.  Still, the Raiders knew that they had to continue their work against Campbell on Friday. The Raiders looked in midseason form, scoring 28 points in the first half. Fans can thank Michael Boydston, who scored four touchdowns in the half. The Spartans tried to make it a game in the second half but it was too little, too late, as the Raiders won big 41-28. Boydston ended his night with 301 yards and five touchdowns. Ray Rayburn played the entire game and threw for 150 yards and one touchdown. Price Garrett led all receivers with 107 yards and one touchdown.  The Raiders will look to make it four in a row against archrival Wheeler on Friday. … The softball team defeated Alpharetta on Thursday by the score of 2-0. Laura Thompson struck out five batters and earned the complete-game shutout. Walton will face Etowah on Wednesday. … The volleyball team swept Cherokee, Creekview and Rockmart last Saturday before falling to Northview in the final match. Next up is Etowah and Lassiter on Tuesday.
