Things did not start off well for the football team, as the Wildcats lost their first two games of the season. They faced Region 6-AAAAA rival Milton on Friday and the Wildcats knew that picking up their first win would not be an easy task. The Eagles got off to a fast start, as running back Toney Williams scored two touchdowns in the first half. Williams scored again in the third quarter and that was more than enough, as the Eagles shut out the Wildcats 41-0. Offensively, the Wildcats struggled to move the ball downfield, as they gained just five first downs and 84 yards of total offense. The team will look to improve on Friday when they face archrival Walton. … The softball team defeated Centennial 5-4 on Thursday. With the win, the Lady Wildcats earned their first region victory of the season. They will be on the road on Wednesday to take on Marietta. … The water polo team blanked Grady on Friday 15-0. Dylan O’Connell led the Wildcats by scoring four goals in the win. With the victory, the Wildcats remain undefeated.
