Short kicks two field goals, but Wolves fall one point short in loss to Holy Innocents’

The football team lost another close game last Friday when the Wolves fell to Holy Innocents’ 7-6. The Wolves scored first when Spencer Short kicked a field goal off a Holy Innocents’ fumble. Short kicked another field goal at the end of the first half, but missed a 42-yard attempt in the third quarter that would have given the Wolves the lead. Kyle Karempelis led the Wolves with 72 yards rushing. … The softball team lost to Eagles Landing Christian 8-0 last Thursday, but rebounded Friday by beating Holy Innocents’ 13-1. Paige Hamlin was 2-for-3 with a home run. The Wolves play a doubleheader this Wednesday against Collins Hill and Parkview. … The volleyball team beat Marist last Thursday. Anne Marie Armstrong led the team with 24 kills. Last weekend, the Wolves lost in the championship game of the Brentwood Invitational in Alabama . They play GAC this Thursday. … The boys cross country team finished fourth in the Marist Double Dip last Saturday. Bradley Gossett led with a time of 17:57 . Both the boys and girls teams will compete in the Gwinnett County Invite this Saturday.
