Mike McClay leads cross-country at Berry Invitational; Late mistake costs football team

The football team was only one extra point away from a second-half comeback as it fell to Collins Hill 14-13 last Friday. The team’s offense had two touchdown drives of 19 and 15 plays in the second half, but a missed extra point left the Falcons just short. The Falcons travel to Grayson this Friday… The softball team lost last Wednesday 14-5 to No. 5-ranked Mill Creek, but rebounded loudly Thursday with a 14-0 win over Shiloh. Allie Miles struck out 13 Shiloh hitters. The Falcons play Grayson this Wednesday at 5 p.m. … The volleyball team lost to Westminster but beat St. Pius X last Thursday. Breanna Overby led the defense with three blocks. They play Norcross and Oconee County at home this Thursday. … The boys cross country team finished 15th in the Berry Invitational last Saturday. Mike McClay starred for the boys with the sixth-best overall time of 16:21.
